Unsuspecting Founding Fathers

Meet Jasmine Torrez, the unsuspecting soon-to-be founder of a very long legacy. While this is meant to be a career challenge, at this point in the game I was intending it to be a ‘finish the collection’ challenge, so Jasmine uh… doesn’t actually have a career. Sooo we’re just all going to pretend that Archaeology and Jungle Exploration count as careers and move right along!

Jasmine Torrez sprung into sim life, fully formed, in the midst of the jungle. And of course immediately ran right into Father Winter in full tourism gear, as you do.

Not letting the wintery jungle encounter phase her, Jasmine jumped right into exploring… and stabbing Mortimer Goth through the heart. Not that he minded much; the man was very insistent on small talk, even at the cost of machete to the chest.

No sooner had Jasmine finally made an escape from civilization than she found a tightly-sealed chest, filled with untold riches. Once she mustered the strength to force it open, she found herself… disappointed. Surely there was more to be found than just one shiny, glowing orb!

Indeed there was more! A fancy curse of a black and foggy sun, just for her!

Not one to let a simple curse get in her way, Jasmine threw herself into archaeology, only pausing to get a quick meal from a probably less-than-sanitary source.

At long last, Jasmine encountered something she really didn’t like: bees. An entire swarm of buzzing pests, so painfully stingy she nearly resorted to biting her own arm! Not the most logical reaction to bees, but she was only a few sim hours old and can be forgiven for not knowing proper procedures.

Bees? Time to freak out! Giant plume of fire blasting right over her head?? She hears Nothing.

Over the course of her exploration, Jasmine discovered the things that would make her come back for more: spectacular views.

Once she’d finished admiring the scenery, she turned her attention to spookier things.

Armed with her trusty notepad, Jasmine’s ginormous inner nerd was truly unleashed, every test becoming so easy it was laughable!

…at least, so she thought. Still, even temple curses barely seemed to have an effect on her!

In no time at all she was right back to cackling manically at her victories.

And then, finally, it all went wrong. Maybe she should’ve paid more attention to the previous fire.

Oh, never mind, turns out the power of ~ imagination ~ beats fire, and Jasmine quickly saved herself with her invisible fire extinguisher. Maybe she’s right and it’s not a big deal.

Through plasma, sweat, and burns, the ultimate treasure was hers, and now that she’d explored every nook and cranny it was time to head home.

Oops, never mind, it’s the bat guards, trying to prevent her from leaving! Poor dear has no luck when it comes to flying things.

Her awful burning smell must’ve scared them off, and she managed to make it back to a place with showers and a bench where she could finally rest.
